About the Artist

Hey!  Welcome to the Rebella Artistry website.  My name is Nicole, and this is my business website.  I am a young woman (she/her) living and working in Pittsburgh, PA.  In October of 2016, I graduated from my esthetics course, and in January of 2017, I passed the state boards to become a licensed esthetician.  I am proud to call myself a licensed professional with years of experience in the beauty industry.  I am grateful I have the ability to do work that I truly enjoy, and to help share that joy with others.  I'd like to offer my skills to you, hopefully, to someday be my valued client. You can see photos of work I've done on my Portfolio page.

I am a perfectionist and I pride myself on working to the best of my ability.  I have had experience working in traditional salons (ask me about that at your appointment if you would like some good stories), but I would much rather work on my own terms.  I've never really felt like I fit into the common beauty space so I have always wanted to make my own.  I wanted to provide a place for those who feel like they don't quite belong or fit into what is considered "normal".  I want to provide a comfortable, judgment-free space for my clients regardless of their race, gender orientation, sexual orientation, or the work they do.  Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your experience the best it can possibly be.

I specialize in eyelash extensions, makeup application, some waxing, and airbrush spray tanning.  I always enjoy keeping up with current trends and techniques in the beauty world.  During 2021 I had obtained new certifications for training from well-known and respected companies.  Continuing my education and improving my skills is very important to me. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, I'll be happy to assist in any way I can.

Why I Became a Beauty Professional

Growing up, I had a lot of self-confidence issues.  Some of it I learned from the adult women in my life, some of it I developed on my own. My most stressful problem was that I had horrible cystic acne that took years to treat.  During that time I became interested in makeup to best hide or distract from my biggest insecurities, which later turned into a love of makeup artistry.  I was focused on making things I, or others, thought unattractive 'beautiful'.  As I got older, I understood beauty looked different to everybody, and there is beauty in that simple fact, too.  I didn't want anybody to ever feel as bad as I did about myself when I was growing up, so I decided to turn my passion into my profession.  My goal is to help shift the way we think of and see ourselves, and accept there is beauty in accepting ourselves and being the best we can be.

To get a little more personal...I am twenty-eight years old and am a Virgo. I like to half-jokingly identify as an "elder emo" or a "refined goth adult". I've lived in Pittsburgh my whole life, but am looking forward to a time when I can explore the country.  I am a mother to a seven-year-old, ninety-pound mutt.  I love all things witchy, reading YA fantasy, food (I'm a pescatarian), and watching period dramas.
